Revisiting stories of the past

I have started to look over the stories I have started now that The Thine Line Between Love and Hate is nearly finished. I have lots and lots. A few that I'm working on again, and some that I'm not sure if they will ever find their way to fanfiction.net. I have one on Persuasion, another on Becoming Jane and a Pride and Prejudice-story that I'm thinking is good enough to continue writing on. Which of these would you, my dear readers, want me to work on more?

A Way Back into Love (working title) - Wentworth and Anne, Persuasion: Modern slight AU story. Frederick broke up with Anne 8 years ago, but he doesn’t really know the whole truth about what happened. What will happen when he does?

Accidentally in Love - Jane and Tom Lefroy, Becoming Jane: A modern take on Becoming Jane. Basically the same story

Every Girl needs a Mr Darcy, Right? - Lizzie and Darcy, Pride and Prejudice: Modern/regency/sci-fi, Mr Darcy is thrown into our modern world as he faces a loveless marriage with a woman of his aunt’s choice. Will modern Elizabeth Bennet fall for his old fashion charms and gigantic sideburns?

Comment below, please. This is also a small test to see how many of you have actually found this blog. :P Make me happy!

Finally, TTBLAH 44 is up!

Yeah, I know, I know, it's been ages. Well, over a year at least. But we've moved. New house, new city new job. Not so forgiving as my last one, sorry to say. Busy busy busy. I've also really gotten into my own writing. I've actually got a short story published. Yey me! But, without further ado, here's a taste of chapter 44!

Chapter 44: This is going to be a Good Night
William did his best to shake off the uneasy feeling. He knew he was of an anxious mind, always thinking too hard and analysing too much before taking action, but this time he hadn’t. Though he was sure this was going to have the desired effect, he wasn’t entirely sure this wasn’t going to reflect back on to the family business. Then there was the whole other thing that made his stomach churn with nervous butterflies. Proposing to Elizabeth. What had he been thinking?
His hand flew up to the inner pocket of his jacket and he patted it vacantly. What if she said no? The thought brought a new flutter to his stomach and he drew in a deep breath to steady himself. She was going to say yes, he was pretty sure of it. In any case it was too late to get cold feet. The plan was in motion. But first they were going to have to get through a night with both Caroline Bingley and Cathy de Bourgh present.
William was caught up with the gleefulness of the others, but there was still a twitch of nervousness in his stomach. Whether it was because of bringing down Caroline, the oncoming ball or the proposal, he wasn’t really sure, but he wasn’t completely at ease as the others. He had a mental pep talk with himself and persuaded himself that all was going to go as planned. He had another glass of champagne in the limo, trying to calm his fluttering stomach down. Elizabeth was eyeing him suspiciously, but never said anything. She did however smile encouragingly from time to time and squeezed his hand whenever she got the chance. By the time they arrived at the venue, he felt more relaxed than before. There was little he could do to change the outcome of the evening. William was however determined to enjoy himself and not let the pre-proposal-jitters get to him.

TTLBLAH 43 is up!

Yes, it's been a while. I admit. But I'm really trying to wrap this puppy up in a neat bundle, though it's really hard. So much to think about. Along this journey I have learned to write down the character gallery, places I have in the story and other useful stuff. Good to have on hand when the writing is going slow. So, without further ado, here's chapter 43!

Chapter 43: Badasses on the Move
Elizabeth lazily opened one eye and peered around in the room, suddenly unsure of where she was. William's sleepy grunt next to her brought her back to Boston and his downtown loft. She smiled languidly and rolled over to snuggle close to him. She breathed in his familiar scent and felt like home. She could hardly believe that for only a couple of months ago she disliked him and wouldn't even give him the time of day. She sighed comfortably and caressed his sleep warm cheek. He moved slightly and smiled. Her heart skipped a beat. He was just so gorgeous, even when sleeping.
It was still early, and she didn't want to get up just yet, so she closed her eyes again, nestling into his embrace as carefully as she could without waking him. There were so many things to do today and she wasn't really sure if she was quite ready to start the day. She was going to have to share William with the rest of the world, but for now they were alone, just the two of them, just how she liked it. She made a mental note of, when getting back to England, she would let William take her out on a real proper date, without any meddling family, friends or conniving Carolines. Just the two of them, for say, dinner and a movie?

TTLBLAH ch 42 is up!

Yes, it took some time, but not as much as I had feared. ;) I'm really on a writing roll now, writing on most of my stories. Yes, there are several.

So without further ado, here's chapter 42: I wanna do bad Things with You:

“I made popcorn,” Elizabeth stated as she sat down next to William in front of his computer. He smiled.
“Do you really think this is going to be so exciting that you need popcorn?” He raised a teasing eyebrow.
“Are you kidding me?” She looked surprised. “I’m sure it’s going to be spectacular. Didn’t you hear Sophie on the phone?”
“You’re such a weirdo, you know that, right?” He kissed her on the cheek.
“Yup.” She smiled and tossed popcorn into her open mouth. “Want some?” She held out the bowl toward him.
“No, thanks, I’m good.” He shook his head slightly.
“What?” She looked curiously at him.
    “Nothing.”

TTLBLAH ch. 41 is finally up

Yes, I'm so, so sorry for the delay. I got caught up with life and work and trying my own thing. You know how it is. Since I won that contest I've tried my luck in writing my own stuff. But I do intend to finish those stories I have started and posted. I have a ton lying on my computor too. Might finsih them too, you never know. ;)

Chapter 41: The Wicked Witch of the West
Caroline Bingley was used to get everything she pointed at. She had been daddy's little princess and had had him wrapped around her little finger since he first laid eyes on her as a new born. She had found early in life that she easily could manipulate the people around. But now he was looking at her reprovingly. Sure, he had allowed her to take a position in the company, but she could see that he was disappointed in her. Everything had been blown out of proportion and nothing really had gone as planned. Had everything gone as it should have, she wouldn't had been in this mess now.

I won a short story competition!

I am still a bit shell shocked, but I have just won my first fanfiction-contest. That's one of the reasons I have been absent the last month, I concentrated on getting this story finished. It's in Swedish, and is inspired by the book Halvblod (Halfblood) by Sofie Trinh Johansson. A really good book about Avaline who discovers that she is a halfblood, sired by a vampiric father, who wants her dead, and a human mother who died giving birth to her. I'm sure it's going to come out in English, but I have no idea when. I really enjoyed reading it, and it is what got me into writing again. :) So, yes, I'm so happy that I won!

I will be posting this short (well, 13 pages long) story here in the blog later on. I'm thinking of translating it into English, but we'll see about that. Google can translate... or not. ;)

Anywho, I'm working on the next chapter of TTLBLAH, but it's going painfully slow, but I am trying to get it done.

Ch 40 of TTLBLAH is up!

Yes, I was on a roll and just kept on going! Hopefully I will keep this up until I'm finished with the story!

Chapter 40: Naughty is the New Nice

Jane is having second thoughts," Elizabeth announced as they joined the men on the dock. William frowned. He was a bit surprised, since Jane had been the one who had been hit the worst by Caroline. "We really need to talk this through so that everybody is okay with this plan of ours and the consequences that can come thereof." Elizabeth sat down next to William and snuggled close. He kissed her hair briefly before looking around at the people around him. It really did look like a war meeting of sorts. They were all looking very focused and concerned.
"Perhaps Jane is right," Peter said. "Just because we now have a mole, it doesn't necessarily mean that we have to use this information, let alone expose Caroline at the Ball."
"I for one think she needs to be publically exposed," Georgiana said firmly.
"Charlie, she's you sister, what do you think?" Jane turned to her boyfriend for support. Charles shrugged and didn't really seem to know what to say. "I just think that if we do this, at least at the Ball, we're just as bad as her." Jane crossed her arms in front of her and put on her best stern teacher face.
