TTLBLAH is finally updated

I really got into writing this week. Yey! I have missed it so much and hopefully this inspiration keeps going. I'm really trying to wrap this story up, so that  I don't need to feel so guilty over not updating the story as fast as my readers would want. :P I have a ton others that lay in wait to be known to the world too. Perhaps a bit of Persuasion, next?

Chapter 39: Everyone Seems to Grow a Conscience
he arrival of Peter Fitzwilliam was like a cool breeze on a hot summer's day. Everybody's mood lightened up and Saturday's dinner party didn't really look as dull as Elizabeth had anticipated, what with Mr Darcy's hesitations toward her and their little disagreement regarding Bill Collins and Anne de Bourgh and all. The fact that Charles and Jane would be there, too, was also reassuring. She needed a bunch of fans if Mr Darcy were to warm up to her.
Elizabeth tried to help out in the kitchen, but was constantly chased out by Mrs Darcy with a 'Darling, you are our guest. Please behave as one and go outside and enjoy the weather. I can manage fine, thank you.' Elizabeth didn't doubt that Mrs Darcy could, especially since she had brought in help in the form of Georgiana and a friend of hers, but she wasn't used to not help out. Even if she wasn't the best cook she did make a killer salad.

Finding my way back into writing

I know it's been ages since I've updated the blog and my active story on Fanfiction.net. I'm sorry. I just haven't had any inspiration for that story in a while. I have written a few words here and there, but nothing more substatial than that. All my stories are suffering my writers block. Though, I have tried my luck in writing in Swedish, I've only come three pages.

At the moment I am going through The Thin line and editing it as I read through it. I hope this will wake my inspiration and hunger to continue the story. Because finsih it I will. I will not promise WHEN, but  I promise you that I WILL finish it.

I do hope that a few of my readers finds their way here, because I won't post an author's note. I hate when people do that, because it gets the hopes up, and I  know how dissappointed you get when you find a note saying sorry, I haven't updated, and I probably will not in a while... Nope. I will update the story when I have a new chapter finished.

I am so sorry

Life has gotten in the way of my writing. I had been planning on getting one chapter ready before going on maternity leave, but work got in the way. It was a bit hectic and well, too be honest, I wasn't sure what was going to happen with my position as I left. Then I was pretty sure that I was going to find the time to write whilst being home with  my 2 year old whilst waiting for number two. Well, what was I thinking?! Yeah, and then number two arrived, 3 days after due date, and now I have a new love in my life. The most adorable little daughter a mother could ever dream of.

But my head is spinning with ideas, but it is not easy to find the time to sit down and write them down when having to care for two little ones. Good thing is that the hubbie now has vacation for 4 more weeks, and hopefully I will be able to finish a chapter or two in that time. I'm not leaving my stories unfinished. Do not worry about that.

I'm not sure how many of my readers even read this blog, but hopefully one or two has found their way over here. :P I might just have to publish an author's note...

Ch. 38 of TTLBLAH is up

Yes, it's been a while, I know. But I'm just having some trouble getting to where I want to with the story. It's soon finished, and it's kind of sad to see a story finished in a way, though very satisfactory when it's at last done. I really do hope I have the time to finish this story before my second child is born... :P

Sneak Peak:
Chapter 38: Tête-à-tête with Dad

Thursday went by in a lazy fashion. Elizabeth was jetlagged and took refuge under a large oak tree in the garden with a book. William was left to himself and decided to contact Peter regarding the ball and Elizabeth's idea about how to get back at Caroline. Peter sounded excited over the idea and was eager to get started. Peter already had a person in mind that could infiltrate and get Caroline to spill her guts if only they could get her into the ball. William was fairly sure that wouldn't be a problem.
"I need to speak with you after breakfast," Mr Darcy said to his son on Friday morning. William thought it just as well to have it over with. They had a lot to talk about. He had some great ideas for the company, but he guessed his father wanted to talk about other things.
"I'm just going to drop Lizzie off at the Bingleys, after that I'll be all yours," William answered. Elizabeth was going to have lunch with her sister and Mrs Bingley and then hit the town to find something to wear to the ball. William was meeting her for dinner and a movie later that afternoon.

Ch. 37 of TTLBLAH is up

So utterly delayed, once more. I apologise most ardently to my dear readers! But after that review I kind of lost what little inspiration I had, and then I thought the chapter wasn't good enough... Oh well. It will have to do.

Sneak peak:
Chapter 37: Surprise, Surprise
Elizabeth was not a boats person and she regarded the old boat with the large swan in the back sceptically. It really didn't look that safe.
William smiled reassuringly. "This boat has been in the service of the Boston citizens since 1877."
"That was what I was afraid of," she said.
"It's quite sturdy," William promised and held out his hand. "Would you please get your ass down here?" As there was a line starting forming behind her, Elizabeth really didn't have any choice but to reluctantly climb down into the boat. She immediately sat down and peered over the side.

I will try my best to update more frequently, but I'm not making any more promises I cannot keep.

Does Col. Fitzwilliam have a first name?

I got a very interesting review on The Thin Line. The reader was a bit upset with my writing. Especially that I had named Fitzwilliam Peter and not Richard which she (or he) said is his name. I have now read through the chapters where he is figuring and  I cannot for the life of me find any reference to the name Richard. So I googled. Nope. He doens't seem to have a given name, but, is frequently named Richard in fanfiction. So there. I can name him Peter if I want. Ha! The reason I have named him Peter is because of the character he is in Much Ado, i.e Prince Pedro.

The reader had a lot of other points on where she (or he) didn't get my fiction. But that's okay. Most of it I can claim artisitc freedom of. I mean just because Georgiana was 15 or more years younger than Darcy in the original, she doesn't have to be that young in my fanfic, right?

If you want to read the review in whole, please visit  The Thin Line and click on reviews. I did write the reader a nice reply, since the reader prefered to be anonymous I had to write a review myself. :P

Ch. 36 of TTLBLAH is up

It's a bit short, I know, but I wanted it up before going on Christmas Holiday! Hope it's to your liking, though

Sneak Peak:
Chapter 36: Cheesy Comments and a Nasty Witch
He showed Elizabeth all his favourite spots in the garden, or park as she preferred to call it. He guessed she was right. It was too large to be called a garden. In fact, they had two gardeners that took care of it all.

"I wonder how Jane's doing," Elizabeth said as they sat down on the little dock on the beach, which was his favourite place of them all. He had been coming here since the dock had been built. To just get away for a moment or two and breathe in the salty air of the ocean.
"I'm sure she's just fine," William assured her. Even if Mr Bingley had been blind when it came to Caroline, he was sure both he and his wife would be hospitable enough to welcoming Jane into their home. He was sure Charles had told them just how wrong Caroline had been about Jane.

"I just hope Caroline hasn't been feeding them lies about my sister."

"Don't worry. Charlie has been there the whole time. In this case I really do hope that they listen to him, and not to her. I'm sure they think highly enough of their son not to think he'd stay with someone who had been cheating on him."
